Thursday, October 29th, 2009

Like many Americans we may find our self with more vehicles that we have room for in the driveway. Fort Worth TX is no different, storing cars in Fort Worth TX. It can be as easy as going around town and finding storage units for you to store your car at or you could also try the internet or the news paper for advertisements.

Before storing cars in Fort Worth TX everyone should take the time to choose a place that best suits their needs. Shopping around for a storage unit can be one of the best things a person can when getting ready to store their cars. Making sure that your car will be safe can be as easy as just taking a look around the property. A person should be able to tell how safe a place is by looking for cameras, security guards, how well kept the properties are and how well kept the storage units are.

Another good thing to remember when storing cars in Fort Worth TX is to take in the location of where the storage unit is. Depending on how long you plan on storing the car you may not want to travel a long distance if you plan on visiting the storage unit on a regular basis. Also the best thing about knowing your car is stored safely is the freed up space you will be able to have when that car is out of the drive way.

Storing Important Family Photos

Wednesday, October 14th, 2009

Nowadays with digital cameras you will be storing your photos on your hard drives of your computer instead of in an old fashion photo album. But if you’re like most people in the world you still have photos from way before digital cameras where around and still have to find away to keep them safe and in the family for many more years to come. One thing that tends to destroy pictures is when picture are stored in a photo album and do not have any protection from the picture that shows up on the other side and then these pictures can become stuck together. To prevent this from happening you can go to a store that offers picture services and they will probably sell a paper called archival-quality paper and you can put the paper in between each picture to stop them from sticking. In between each group of pictures you should put a piece of card board or wood to help prevent warping of the pictures or photo albums while being stored away for a long period of time. When stacking photos albums on top of each other make sure you place the spine of the books opposite of each other, place one book facing the right and the other facing the left and so on. It is also a good ideal but not always possible to store all your photos in an air tight plastic wrapping to avoid all moisture build up that can cause damage to your priceless picture that you will never be able to get back.

Getting Prepared for an Easy Moving Day

Monday, October 12th, 2009

Getting prepared for moving day should be very easy if you take the time to plan ahead. Little snags in the process can cost you a lot of time and energy.

First; box everything up and make a good estimate of how big or how many trucks you’re going to need to make the least amount of trips.

Second; try to get as many buddies as you can get to help you move.

Third; pick a good day and time, when the least amount of traffic will be on the road and the weather will be good enough not to cause you problems. Also picking a good day might help you recruit more of your buddies, you’re going to have a hard time convincing your buddies to help you move on a holiday or something like super bowl Sunday.

Forth; when you’re getting ready to start loading up for a trip to the storage unit remember to take the items you want to be stored in the back first, this is a silly but costly mistake that can become a very big hassle for you.

Fifth; Instead of carrying stuff passed and around each other, set up some type of process that mirrors an assembly line, this will help out a lot. There’s nothing worse than having a bunch of people working but no one is on the same page.

Sixth; make sure you have the shortest easiest path from point A to point B
