Storing Cars in Fort Worth

Monday, November 23rd, 2009

Like many Americans we may find our self with more vehicles that we have room for in the driveway. Fort Worth TX. is no different, storing cars in Fort Worth TX. can be as easy as going around town and finding storage units for you to store your car at or you could also try the internet or the news paper for advertisements.

Before storing cars in Fort Worth TX everyone should take the time to choose a place that best suits their needs. Shopping around for a storage unit can be one of the best thing a person can when getting ready to store their cars. Making sure that your car will be safe can be as easy as just taking a look around the property. A person should be able to tell how safe a place is by looking for cameras, security guards, how well kept the properties are and how well kept the storage units are.

Another good thing to remember when storing cars in Fort Worth TX is to take in the location of where the storage unit is. Depending on how long you plan on storing the car you may not want to travel a long distance if you plan on visiting the storage unit on a regular basis. Taking your time in storing your car and picking the place that is the most convenient and safe might just save you a lot of headaches in the end. Also the best thing about knowing your car is stored safely is the freed up space you will be able to have when that car is out of the drive way.

Haslet, TX Self Storage Facility Revamps Web Presence to Attract Local Search Engine Traffic

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

New Blue Mound Self Storage Site Launches August 15, 2009

July 30, 2009 – Haslet, TX – Today’s web savvy shopper is much more likely to turn to the Internet than phone book to find a storage unit. That’s part of the reason Blue Mound Self Storage (http://www.bluemound287selfstorage.com), a Haslet, TX self storage facility, created a new website.

“Generations that grew up using search engines to shop are reaching their twenties and thirties,” says Josh Davis, the Fort Worth, TX web developer who created the Haslet, TX self storage company’s new web presence.  “Services like self storage that generally serve local customers need to have web sites that show up high in the results on Google and Bing for local searches.”

The new web presence for the storage company includes new pages designed to help people needing to rent a storage unit in North Fort Worth find Blue Mound Self Storage.

“Our previous web presence consisted of a few page listing on the Texas self storage industry association website,” said Blue Mound Self Storage owner Ron Sturgeon. “The small listing just wasn’t enough to show up for the many different two- and three-word phrases that people needing self storage in Fort Worth, furniture storage in Keller, or tractor trailer storage in the Alliance Corridor might type into a search engine to find a self storage company,” noted Sturgeon.

“I believe in industry associations and in business owners helping one another, so part of the reason I redesigned is to show other self storage owners how valuable a web presence can be to them,” said Sturgeon.

The new site includes tips for packing items for storage and a self storage unit selection guide. The site is a WordPress blog so that employees can easily update storage promotions.

Blue Mound Self Storage is located at 870 Blue Mound Road in West Haslet, TX. The business serves consumers and businesses seeking self storage in Alliance Corridor, including North Fort Worth, Keller TX, Haslet, and Saginaw.  Blue Mound Self Storage offers indoor storage, outdoor storage, and climate controlled self storage. To learn more, visit the Blue Mound Self Storage (http://www.bluemound287selfstorage.com) or call (817) 439-1485.

How to store a car

Monday, November 9th, 2009

A lot of people may find themselves wanting to store their vehicle for one reason or another. It is very common for someone to store a car without the knowledge one would need to store that car successfully. And if you don’t know how to store a car successfully it is very well possible to run into problems that might cost you a lot of money when it comes time to take that car out of storage.

Knowing how to store a car is very important and a lot of people may not store their car properly because they just don’t know what is so import about this process is. If you plan on storing your car in a climate controlled area then you will not have to be so cautious and you may be able to skip some of the steps that you would not be able to when storing it in a no controlled area.

The thing someone would want to be sure they have is at least a half of tank of gas and then need to pour certified fuel stabilizer in it. If there is not enough fuel in a vehicle when being stored you run the risk of the gas evaporating and having no fuel in it to start the car when it’s time to get it out of storage. Also the proper amount of antifreeze should be poured in the radiator. If this is not done then you could have the fluid freeze then expand and you then you will find yourself with a huge headache. The oil levels are not too important when a car is being stored for they all should be changed after the car is pulled out of storage. All chrome on the vehicle should be lube up with some type of grease to protect against rust. And the last thing that someone might think about doing is storing the vehicle on cylinder blocks to help prevent the tires from getting flat spot on them. Knowing how to a store car is very important to help the vehicle to be protected all the way though the winter.

Know the unit size you need and stick to it!

Friday, November 6th, 2009

It is important when choosing a self storage facility to know what size you need to store your property and get as close to it as possible. Most standard sizes that mini storage comes in are 5 x 5, 10 x 5, 10 x 10, 10 x 15, 10 x 20, and 10 x 30.  Once you know which size you need and you are shopping for the best location and price, make sure you stick to the size that you feel is closest to the actual space you need.  This is important because if you rent a unit with not enough space, you wont have room for everything you need to store and it will defeat your purpose of renting a storage unit in the first place. However, it is just as important to not get one too large or you will waste money on the unused space. This makes it important to choose a storage location that not only meets your needs for cleanliness, security, and access, but also one that actually has the particular size you need available when you need it. Sometimes storage management will try to talk you into a bigger size than what you actually need by offering a good deal or cheaper rate than normal, but be careful not to get pushed into a size that is not right for you because of particular facilities availability. You want your self storage to accommodate you, not the other way around. After all, you’re the one paying for a service here, right? There are plenty of mini storages out there and you want one that cares about getting you the storage space that actually fits your needs. Find out what size that is and stick to it!
